A community in New Jersey is dealing with an interesting mystery when 500 pounds of cooked elbow macaroni, ziti, and spaghetti were discovered discarded by a creek.

Last month, a homeowner of Old Bridge Township was out for a walk when they saw the strange heaps of pasta in the forested area close to their home.

The householder first reported the waste to their municipality, then got in touch with Nina Jochnowitz, a local activist who had previously run for city council in the sixth ward.

‘The resident believed it was hay at first but as they came closer noticed it was tons of cooked spaghetti,’ Jochnowitz told to an interviewer.

Last month, a resident of Old Bridge Township was out on a stroll through the nearby woods when they noticed the strange sight.

After reporting the waste and not receiving a response from the township, the resident got in touch with Nina Jochnowitz, a local activist who had previously run for city council in the sixth ward.’ She claimed that at first the resident believed it to be hay but upon closer inspection discovered it to be an enormous amount of cooked spaghetti.
